Agrabah
x24 x11

After the opening cutscene, Sora & company are forced into a fight with Heartless. Use Reflect magic to quickly send back incoming attacks. This is also a good opportunity to gain experience for Wisdom Form by quickly defeating Heartless with magic. The fight will end after 60 seconds or when Sora’s HP falls to critical levels.

NEW HEARTLESS: Luna Bandit

Checking In With Royalty

After retreating into the nearby shop, Sora acquires the Agrabah Map. While in the Peddler’s Shop, visit Mojito’s Moogle Shop to check out newly available accessories for purchase. When you’re ready to proceed, exit the Peddler’s Shop and travel northwest and through the northernmost passage to reach the Palace.

In Search of Treasure

After the cutscene, Aladdin joins your party. Return to the Peddler’s Shop on the east side of the area; after speaking with the peddler, travel through the passage in front of you to reach the Bazaar. Continue south through the large doors to reach the Palace Walls.

NEW HEARTLESS: Silver Rock, Fat Bandit

Aladdin has the Jackpot ability pre-equipped; this increases the amount of prize orbs (HP, MP, Drive Orbs) that drop when defeating enemies. Pair this with your newly-acquired Follow The Wind keychain's Draw ability to pick up all these extra orbs with ease!

While at the Palace Walls, Save your progress at the nearby save station and open the large chest along the south border to acquire a Skill Ring (this accessory bestows +4 AP, so equip it to a party member that you'd like to have more abilities). When you’re ready to proceed, travel through the passage in the southeast to reach the Cave of Wonders.

Into the Cave of Wonders

Continue into the mouth of the Cave of Wonders, and descend down the path to reach a chamber with a stone guardian. Approach and Examine the floating jewel above you, then Examine the base of the statue at the back of the chamber.

NEW HEARTLESS: Fortuneteller, Fiery Globe, Icy Cube

Challenge of the Stone Guardian

Challenge of the Stone Guardian

INFORMATION:   Lead Abu to the pedestal and soothe the wrath of the statues!

Your goal is to direct Abu to the opposite side of the chamber while avoiding incoming obstacles. Here are a few tips:

  • Use the Go, Abu! reaction command to direct Abu forward. If Abu is hit by a wave of icicle, he will be knocked back - you must reissue this command to make him move forward.
  • Stay close to Abu as he moves toward the goal. Use the Jump! command when an incoming wave gets close - and don't forget to use the jump button to have Sora avoid the wave too!
  • Groups of icicles will appear periodically and fall to the ground. With Aladdin in your party AND SET TO WHAT ATTACK MODE???, he will typically destroy the icicles before they can fall.
  • When Abu reaches the opposite side of the chamber, use the Set the jewel! command to complete the challenge.

REWARD:  Sora learns Summon Boost | Donald learns Donald Blizzard | Goofy MAX HP +4 | Aladdin MAX HP +15

Challenge Ahead, Treasure Below

After clearing the challenge, you can Save at the new save station in this room, then proceed forward into the next area. Approach and Translate the plaque; then select "Activate it!" to begin your next challenge.

Chasm of Challenges

Chasm of Challenges

INFORMATION:   Defeat all of the enemies!

Your goal is to defeat all Heartless on each of the five platforms before the 2-minute timer runs out. Here are a few tips:

  • The first platform has four Icy Cubes. You can defeat them quickly with ground combos or Fire magic. The next platform includes two Icy Cubes and two Fiery Globes; you can also clear them out with ground combos.
  • The third platform features a single Fat Bandit. Do your best to get behind it quickly and strike with a complete combo. Use the Full Swing command after landing a combo finisher to deal heavy damage. The fourth platform includes two Fiery Globes and one Fat Bandit.
  • The final platform has two Fortunetellers. Use aerial combos to stagger them; consider activating Valor Form (while Goofy is in the party) to increase your attack power and speed.

REWARD:  None

Into the Treasure Room

After clearing the Chasm of Challenges, ascend the stairs Translate the plaque in the center. Save your progress at the nearby save station and travel through the newly opened passageway. If you wish to return to the upper levels of the cave, examine the circular warp pad on the west side of the upper platform to return to the top of the chasm of challenges.

The following fight in the treasure room is a great opportunity to level up your Wisdom Form - each Heartless defeated counts as 1 EXP for Wisdom Form!

Treasure Room Trouble

Treasure Room Trouble

INFORMATION:   Defeat all of the Heartless!

Your goal is to defeat fifty (50) Heartless enemies without getting KO'd. Here are a few tips for survival:

  • The first wave consists of a large group of Silver Rocks. They will all immediately conjure light particle shots; get close to each of these orbs and use the Shift Shot command to send them back at the Silver Rocks for easy damage.
  • The next wave includes a large amount of Icy Cubes; they will attack after jumping into the air towards you. A well-timed cast of Reflect (just as they attack) can clear them out quickly. Fire magic can help damage many at once as well.
  • After enough of the Icy Cubes are defeated, Fiery Globes will appear alongside them. Having both fire and ice enemies present makes it tough to cast Fire/Blizzard effectively, but you can try summoning Chicken Little to gather them up for you to easily strike.
  • The final wave of three Fat Bandits is the toughest; they love to attack with their flame breath, and the space is limited. Chicken Little can help stagger them long enough for you to attack (try attacking with air combos behind them). Casting Blizzard magic will stagger them out of most of their attacks. A well-timed Reflect can also deal good damage to them. Activate Wisdom Form to boost your magic power!

REWARD:  Sora HP +5 | Donald HP +3 | Goofy learns Auto-Healing | Aladdin MAX HP +15

Chasing the Lamp

After defeating the Heartless in the Treasure Room, Sora and the party will automatically return to the peddler’s shop in Agrabah. Enter the peddler's shop to Save your progress or visit Mojito’s Moogle Shop to synthesize/purchase items. When you are ready to proceed, exit the shop and travel through Agrabah's northernmost passageway to the Palace.

Volcanic Lord & Blizzard Lord

Volcanic Lord & Blizzard Lord

HP: 440      DIFFICULTY:

The Volcanic and Blizzard Lords are always airborne, so equip the Hero’s Crest keychain for its added boost in strength and its Air Combo Boost ability. One of the Lords will focus attacks on Sora, while the other will float out of reach and stagger your party members with magic. Focus your melee and magic attacks on whichever one is closer to the ground. Volcanic Lord will attack first, bouncing toward you and creating lava circles on the ground. When it gets closer, use Firagun to send it flying toward Blizzard Lord for damage. When Volcanic Lord drops to where you can reach it, attack relentlessly with air combos.

Both Lords can retaliate with a horizontal swing of their scepter after they take enough hits or as they approach you. This can be blocked with Guard, or sent back for damage with Reflect magic. If you’re struck and tossed into the air, use Retaliating Slash to recover and close in to strike again. After taking enough damage, the Volcanic Lord will break apart into smaller Heartless; these can be cleared out with basic combos, Blizzard magic, or a well-timed cast of Reflect magic.

When these smaller Heartless appear, the Blizzard Lord will close in and attack with an ice breath attack that forms an arc of large icebergs; use the Blizzagun reaction command as it approaches to send it into Volcanic Lord for damage. Both lords will break apart into smaller Heartless like this three times over the course of the fight, whenever their remaining HP reaches a specific point. When this happens, the other will always close in and use their special move, so be ready to use the reaction commands when they appear. If you don’t deal enough damage to the closest Lord, they will switch places after a while.

When Volcanic Lord is attacking up close, Blizzard Lord will periodically freeze your party members in place with ice. You can thaw them out with a cast of Fire magic. And when Volcanic Lord is on backup duty, it will set your party members ablaze; these flames can be put out with Blizzard magic. Whenever your party members are frozen or on fire like this, they cannot attack or use magic, and Sora can’t use Forms or Limits, so it’s important to use magic to free them whenever you can.

The Volcanic Lord will sometimes create a long row of fireballs that will fly toward you after a few seconds. These fireballs can be deflected with Guard, but your best option is to move in front of them before they fly out and cast Blizzard while locked on. This will destroy the fireballs and daze Volcanic Lord. You can typically daze Volcanic Lord with Blizzard magic throughout the fight; close in and deal air combos after you stagger it with Blizzard. The Blizzard Lord will summon six ice crystals that circle around you for a few seconds and then strike you in quick succession. With good timing, you can cast Fire magic just as the ice crystals move toward Sora to negate them completely.

If your MP bar starts to run low, consider entering Wisdom Form; this will automatically restore your HP and MP to max, and it boosts your magic power while the form is active. Use your boosted Fire and Blizzard spells to deal damage to the Lords whenever you can. You can’t use Guard to deflect attacks while in this form, but can dodge some incoming attacks with Wisdom Form’s Quick Run ability. Valor Form isn’t a bad option either; you can deal quick damage with air combos while in this form, but keep in mind that you won’t be able to use any magic, including Cure. When one of the Lords is defeated, it will drop magic hazards in all four corners that remain there for the rest of the fight. Be sure to steer clear of these as you focus on the remaining enemy.

REWARD:  Sora learns Finishing Leap | Donald MAX HP +4 | Goofy gains Armor Slot | Aladdin MAX HP +15

After defeating the Volcanic Lord and Blizzard Lord, Sora will open a new pathway with the Keyblade and receive the Lamp Charm, allowing you to summon Genie in combat. After the cutscene, you'll be taken to the world map. Before landing in a world, take note of its BATTLE LV in the top-right corner of the world menu. It's recommended to visit worlds in ascending order of battle level. Clearing the Broken Highway gummi route will allow you to Land in Halloween Town.

After completing this story episode, Twilight Town will re-appear and a new episode will be added there. While you can visit Twilight Town now, it's recommended to continue your journey to the next world with the lowest Battle LV (Halloween Town).
