When you arrive in Hollow Bastion, travel down the steps and across the market area. Climb the steps on the opposite side; talking to the nearby Moogle will allow you to access the Synthesis Shop. Approach Scrooge to hear about his ice cream flavor venture.
Meet the Restoration Committee
After speaking with Scrooge, travel past Dewey's Item Shop and down the steps to reach the Borough. You'll need to work alongside your party members to defeat the Nobodies that appear. Use the Reversal reaction command to temporarily daze enemies; you can strike twice and repeat the reaction command until the lesser enemies are defeated.
NEW NOBODIES: Samurai
When all of the creatures are defeated, Yuffie will give Sora the Marketplace Map. Travel forward around the building and into Merlin's House along the east wall. After reuniting with old friends, Aerith provides Sora, Donald, and Goofy each with a Membership Card, and Merlin bestows the Blizzard magic spell to Sora.
Follow Leon to the Bailey
Save your game at the nearby save station and exit Merlin's House. Travel down the steps in the northwest leading away from Merlin's House and climb the long stairway to reach the upper level of the Marketplace. The passageway leading to the Bailey is on this upper level, in the northwest corner of the map.

INFORMATION: Defeat all the Nobodies while protecting the gates!
After the cutscene, Sora must work with Leon to defend the gates against a group of Dusk, Creeps, and Samurai. If the Nobodies attack the gates and bring the GATES gauge to zero, it's game over. Here are a few tips for clearing the enemies in your way:
- Use the Reversal reaction command to temporarily daze the Dusk as you strike them.
- Creeps can be defeated with complete ground combos; try to strike them while they're grouped together.
- Samurai can heavily damage the gates, so try to defeat them quickly; they can be dealt with from afar by casting Blizzard magic while locked on.
- You can also guard against Samurai's attacks in order to use the Duel Stance reaction command. You'll need to quickly select "The End" from your command menu in order to deal heavy damage to your target.
- Enemies have a tendency to move near the gates; while you risk lowering the GATES gauge, you may find it easier to strike enemies while they are bunched together near the gates.
- Donald and Goofy are not in your party for this fight, so Valor Form is not available for use. However, the town's defense mechanism will periodically launch enemies into the air, giving you an opportunity to deal air combos.
- If Leon's HP is depleted and he falls in battle, you can use Recovery Run while near Leon to restore his HP and quickly strike nearby enemies.

Another World in Need
After a brief encounter with Organization XIII, Keyblade's light unseals a path to other worlds; Sora receives Secret Ansem's Report 7. Navigate the Gummi Ship using the 
Left Analog Stick. Before additional worlds become accessible, you'll need to clear their connected Gummi Routes.
Before landing in a world, take note of its BATTLE LV in the top-right corner of the world menu. It's recommended to visit worlds in ascending order of battle level. Clearing the Asteroid Sweep gummi route will allow you to Land in the Land of Dragons.
Sora and co. will arrive in Merlin's House. Save your progress at the save station, then approach Donald and Examine The Book. Touch the paper pop-up of Pooh's House on the bottom of the left page. After the cutscene, approach Pooh and Greet him. After the cutscene, Sora will automatically move outside of Merlin's House to fight the Heartless.
Recover the Book
Use Fire magic to damage the Shadows and Soldiers when they're grouped together, and use the Cyclone reaction command for any incoming attacks from the Soldiers. After clearing out the Heartless, Sora will re-enter the Hundred Acre Wood. Return to Pooh's House through the same paper pop-up and Greet Pooh again.
Recover the Pages
When Sora leaves the Hundred Acre Wood, Merlin will explain that the Heartless have taken the Torn Pages from the book, and Sora must find them throughout various worlds. Merlin will also give Sora the Baseball Charm item, allowing the use of Summons. The party will be brought back to the World Map automatically.
Before landing in a world, take note of its BATTLE LV in the top-right corner of the world menu. It's recommended to visit worlds in ascending order of battle level. Clearing the Phantom Storm gummi route will allow you to Land in Olympus Coliseum.
When you arrive in the Marketplace, you can take a moment to visit Huey, Dewey, and Louie’s Accessory Shop, Item Shop, and Weapon Shop, as well as Wedge’s Armor Shop to purchase equipment for your party members. When you’re ready to proceed, cross the courtyard by heading west and up the stairs. Approach Scrooge for a bit of optional dialogue, then approach the passage leading to the Borough to encounter Cloud.
Don’t forget to equip armor and accessories to your party members to boost their stats! While the Aegis Chain is expensive, it boasts +2 defense and a 20% resistance to most elemental damage. It’s a decent all-round accessory for this point in the game.
To the Computer Room
NEW HEARTLESS: Bookmaster, Morning Star, Surveillance Robot
When you reach the Borough, enter Merlin’s House (around the corner and along the east perimeter). After speaking with Yuffie and Cid, exit the house and travel to the Bailey through the passage high up in the northwest corner of the Borough.
Travel down the bailey’s stairs and through the new passage made of metal pipes at the bottom to reach the newly accessible Restoration Site. Continue up the pathway and through the next passage to reach the Postern. Save your progress and continue through the small passage behind the base of the postern to reach the Corridors.
The Corridors are a bit of a maze, but you’ll be able to reach the door to the computer room by following the wall on your left; take a left turn any time the path opens in multiple directions. A cutscene will play as you enter Ansem’s Study; Approach Leon, then enter the new passage to reach the computer room and continue the story.
