After arriving at Cornerstone Hill, open the large chest along the back of the ledge in the southwest corner to obtain the Cornerstone Hill Map. Save your progress at the nearby save station and enter through the south passage to reach the Pier. Approach Pete near the pier and Punish him.
When fighting Pete, striking with a complete combo will cause him to fly high into the air. When he lands, it will create a shockwave, but you can jump over it to avoid damage. When Pete regains his footing, he'll start running around frantically and slamming into you. Before he reaches you, use the About-Face reaction command to halt his movements; this will give you an opening to land another combo.
Four windows will now appear in Cornerstone Hill, each leading to a different area infested with Heartless. Enter through each window and defeat the Heartless there under special conditions to continue the story.
NEW HEARTLESS: Hammer Frame, Aeroplane, Hot Rod
After clearing the first three challenges, your Drive gauge will be automatically restored if you complete the challenge while a Drive Form or Summon is active. Use Valor Form to deal fast combos, or summon Chicken Little to stagger and group together enemies!

Pete's Steamboat Escape |
|
HP: 343 DIFFICULTY: Your objective is to break the cage holding the Cornerstone of Light before Pete is able to make his escape on Steamboat Willie. Turn to face the shoreline and use the Juggle Parry command as Pete throws objects at you. Immediately press the reaction command button again to use Overhand - this will send the object back at Pete for damage. Successfully executing these commands five times will cause the steamboat to move to the shoreline. Run to the steamboat and use the Grab On command near the boat's crane - this will move you to a position where you can strike the crate holding the Cornerstone of Light. Attack relentlessly with the Keyblade until you see the Hang On command; use this command as soon as you see it - this will keep you on the crane for another round. If you fall off of the crane, four Minute Bombs will appear near the shoreline; they must be defeated before the crane becomes available again. If you cast Fire magic on Minute Bombs, it will immediately ignite them; when their countdown is at 3 or 2, you can use Dodge Roll to set them off early (keep in mind that any Minute Bombs that explode when their countdown is zero will respawn immediately; it's best to defeat them with melee combos). Continue striking the crate by hopping on to the crane; if Pete recovers and the steamboat moves away, use the reaction commands again to send five objects back at Pete and move the steamboat back to the shoreline. REWARD: Sora learns Dodge Slash | Donald learns Fantasia, Auto Limit | Goofy MAX HP +4 |
After rescuing the Cornerstone of Light, you can Save from the save station at Cornerstone Hill (through the passage heading northwest), or proceed to the Wharf (through the passage heading northeast). Approach the two Petes at the Wharf to continue.
Pete |
|
HP: 784 DIFFICULTY: Most of Pete's attacks are the same from your fight with him in the Underworld. You can Guard against the rolling ball to send it back to Pete for damage, or use Slide Dash as the ball rolls toward you; this will send the ball back at Pete and allow you to follow through with a ground combo. If Pete throws small orbs in front of him, keep your distance or jump over them to avoid damage. Pete is vulnerable to stagger while he jumps high into the air. If Pete punches out in front and says "get outta my way!", you can jump over the incoming shockwave to avoid it and follow up with an air combo mid-jump (Pete will often use this attack after taking several hits on the ground). You can extend your ground combo using Upper Slash and continue into an air combo; however, be mindful that Pete will shield himself and regenerate a bit of HP if he takes too many hits while airborne. Landing a combo finisher or Fire magic on Captain Pete will cause him to fly upward and come crashing down with a shockwave; this shockwave will stagger Pete when he's in range. When 80% of Pete's HP is depleted, he will change the scene and the fight will move to the Scene of the Fire. In this area, Pete can send two fireballs toward you for damage (you'll see Pete point forward and say "Go! Get 'em!"); jump as the fires approach to avoid them (and having High Jump LV1 - learned from levelling up Valor Form - can make this much easier). If Captain Pete gets too close to the fires, he will start running around frantically; if you're knocked into the air, use Aerial Recovery to quickly regain your footing in midair. Use the About-Face reaction command as he approaches to send him back at Pete; this will daze Pete for a while, allowing you to approach and deal a few combos to him. When 60% of Pete's HP is depleted, the fight will move to Mickey's House. In this area, Pete can activate the black hole in the center of the room; the black hole will pull everyone into the center, and it can deal damage on contact. Move to the outer walls to avoid the black hole. If Captain Pete gets too close to the black hole, he will curl into a ball and be thrown around the room; use the About-Face reaction command as he approaches to send him back and temporarily daze Pete. Using Donald's new Comet limit can deal decent damage to Pete, and you can deal air combos while the limit is active (equip Donald's Fantasia ability to make it available during combat). When 40% of Pete's HP is depleted, the scene will change to Lilliput. In this area, the cannon towers will immediately damage anyone that gets too close, so steer clear of them. These cannon towers can also damage Pete and send him flying. Attack Pete with air combos away from the cannon towers. This is a good opportunity to use Valor Form to quickly deal attacks from the ground, or summon Chicken Little to keep Pete staggered as you approach to deal combos. With 20% of Pete's HP remaining, he will change the scene to the Building Site. At the top of your jump, use the Air Slash reaction command to damage Pete as he falls. Press the reaction command button repeatedly to keep using Air Slash as you descend. When the scaffolding isn't moving around, strike Pete with complete air combos. REWARD: Sora acquires Reflect Element, MAX HP +5 | Donald MAX HP +4 | Goofy learns Goofy Tornado |
After thwarting Pete and leaving Timeless River through Merlin's door, Sora acquires the Monochrome keychain and Wisdom Form. Two additional pathways will now open to new worlds on the World Map. Clearing the Splash Island gummi route will allow you to Land in Atlantica, and clearing the Floating Island gummi route will allow you to Land in Port Royal.
If you acquired the Torn Pages in Disney Castle's Library, you can now return them to the book in Merlin's House and explore a new area of the Hundred Acre Wood. The Pain and Panic Cup is now available at Olympus Coliseum; speak to Panic in the Underworld Entrance to enter the tournament.
