Reconnect FAQ

What is Reconnect ?

Reconnect is a three-day in-person and online event celebrating the Kingdom Hearts series and its community of fans. The event is coordinated by KHGuides and a team of talented creators that aim to provide an inclusive experience for all fans of the Kingdom Hearts series to connect and have fun.

Reconnect is a zero-profit event coordinated by dedicated fans and community members. All funds from event badge purchases, merch purchases, and sponsorships are used directly to fund the event.

Why is Reconnect ?

The Kingdom Hearts community has a strong and positive presence online, and while we're so grateful for the connections we're able to make through social media, we think it's important to create an opportunity for Kingdom Hearts fans to connect with each other in person and celebrate a series that values friendship and unbreakable connections, meet up with old friends, and make new ones!

"Distant hearts, when rejoined as one... may find the light within."

When and where is Reconnect ?

The Reconnect in-person celebration is taking place July 11th - 13th, 2025 in Denver, Colorado at The Curtis Hotel.

Where can I find the event schedule? When does it start/end?

The full event schedule for Reconnect will be made available at a later date closer to the event. The official event will start in the mid-afternoon on July 11th and end in the evening on July 13th. We recommend planning to arrive at The Curtis Hotel no later than 4:00pm on July 11th - although you are welcome to arrive earlier in the day or even the day before - Reconnect attendees have historically enjoyed informal Preconnect activities.

We recommend planning to stay until July 14th, as the official event will run into the evening of July 13th, and there will likely be late-night Postconnect merriment afterwards. If you aren’t able to attend for the entire time, we totally understand - we’d rather have you join us some of the time than not at all. We give these timing parameters to make sure that all attendees have as much information as possible and don’t miss out on anything they would like to participate in.

Why Denver?

Our two previous in-person events have both taken place in Texas, but because this event is taking place in July, we opted for a location farther north. Denver has relatively temperate weather during the summer, and a large, heavily connected airport. For those who have never visited, Colorado is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the United States.

How much are Reconnect  event badges? When can I purchase?

Reconnect 3-day event badges are $165 and merch packages are $30, not including processing fees. Both will be available for purchase starting Sunday, December 1 at 7:13am Mountain Time.

Are there VIP event badges for purchase?

We are not offering VIP badges for this event. The spirit of Reconnect is inclusion without exception, and we want everyone to feel equally welcome. If you'd like to upgrade your Reconnect experience a little bit, we will have a merch package available for purchase along with your event badge.

Do I have to stay at The Curtis Hotel?

We recommend it, but it’s not required. There are several other hotels very nearby (within walking distance) if you prefer something else. If you prefer to stay farther away and drive in, please note that the hotel does have a daily rate for parking in their garage. Ridesharing services are readily available, and Denver does have a public bus system with a stop one block from the hotel. If you are planning to commute in, please consider commute times so you don't miss out on any event activities!

Are there restaurants nearby the hotel?

Yes! The Curtis Hotel Denver is located in the Union Station neighborhood of downtown Denver, with many restaurant and entertainment options within walking distance. There is also a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. We’ll release a full attendee guide to the area in 2025.

Is the venue ADA accessible?

Yes! The Curtis Hotel is ADA guideline-compliant.
You can visit the hotel website for a full list of accessible amenities. If you have questions about specific accommodations, please don’t hesitate to contact us at reconnect@khguides.com.

Can I cosplay?

Yes! For health and safety reasons there are restrictions on prop weapons and nudity - we’ll have more specific info and guidelines available in the near future.

Can I sell my merch?

If you’re an artist or creator and you would like to sell your original Kingdom Hearts-related fan merch at Reconnect, please fill out this form to let us know you’re interested. Someone from our team will contact you.

Will there be a Million Dreams Award ceremony?

Yes! We’ll be accepting nominations and votes for the Million Dreams Awards in 2025.

How can I volunteer?

We welcome all passionate and motivated individuals that would like to volunteer their time and talent in making Reconnect the best event it can be! You can fill out our Volunteer Application Form and our team will get in touch with you closer to the event date.

How can I support and/or help promote the event?

We love and appreciate our fellow Kingdom Hearts community members that help spread word about Reconnect! Check out our Promotional Guidelines to learn about ways to help promote the event. If you are interested in supporting Reconnect monetarily, please consider becoming a sponsor. Thank you!

How can I submit feedback, suggestions, and/or ideas for events?

Event ideas/suggestions and general feedback are always welcome! You can submit our Events/Feedback Form and we'll get in touch with you closer to the event date. The deadline for submitting an application for in-person events is Monday, September 30, 2024.

What measures are you taking to prevent the spread of infectious disease?

The safety of Reconnect attendees is our highest priority. In order to ensure the health and safety of all guests and attendees, we ask that attendees and guests traveling for Reconnect take necessary precautions when traveling in enclosed spaces and follow CDC guidelines as they relate to travel.

Our policies may change prior to the event date as public guidance changes. Our final policies will be shared with attendees closer to the event date, in accordance with the most current guidance at the time and may include masking, social distancing, vaccination requirements, or event cancellation.

Is there an age limit for attendees? Can children attend the in-person event?

Children aged 3 and older are required to have a badge to enter. All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian (who must also have a badge). All children must be supervised by their adult guardian at all times.

Please note that this is an event designed primarily for an adult audience. There will be alcohol available for purchase on the premises (only for attendees ages 21 and older), and there may be some light suggestive or adult language from time to time. We maintain all necessary safety precautions for general public use, but we will not have specific child-proof safety provisions in place.

I can't attend in person. How can I participate?

We'll be streaming several parts of the in-person event live on the KHGuides Twitch channel. We'll release a detailed schedule closer to the event date so you'll know when we'll be live. Reconnect merch items will be available online for purchase ahead of the event, so you can celebrate right along with us from home! Sponsoring Reconnect is one of the best ways to help support the event, even if you can't join in person, and help us keep funded so we can keep hosting more events in the future.

Reconnect is a zero-profit event coordinated by fans of the series. All funds from event badge purchases, merch purchases, and sponsorships are used directly to fund the event.
