Reconnect Event badges are non-transferable and cannot be purchased for resale. Reconnect Event Staff may request confirmation of ID at check-in. Event passes may only be refunded (minus ticketing fees) up to sixty (60) days before the start date of the event. Refunds issued will not include Eventbrite transaction fees. Refunds may only be requested and issued directly via Eventbrite to the original payment method only.
By registering for Reconnect through purchasing an event badge and participating in any scheduled or non-scheduled activity during the Reconnect Event, you release from liability and waive your right to sue KHGuides LLC, the Reconnect events committee members, their organizers, their employees, officers, volunteers and agents (collectively “Reconnect Event Staff”) from any and all claims, including claims of Reconnect Event Staff's negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss they may suffer or which may result from their participation in this Event, travel to and from the Event (including air travel), or any events incidental to the Event.
By registering for Reconnect through purchasing an event badge and participating in any scheduled or non-scheduled activity during the Reconnect Event, you agree to hold Reconnect Event Staff harmless from any and all claims, loss or damage to your personal property, liabilities and costs, including attorney’s fees, as a result of your participation in this Event, including travel to and from the Event (including air travel) or any events incidental to this Event.
By registering for Reconnect through purchasing an event badge and participating in any scheduled or non-scheduled activity during the Reconnect Event, you grant consent to Reconnect Event Staff, its affiliates and agents, to use your image and likeness and/or any interview statements from you in its publications, advertising or other media activities (including the Internet). Reconnect Event Staff have a strict zero-AI policy for creative use of any and all assets.
Reconnect Event Staff reserves the right to cancel or postpone Reconnect, or any part of Reconnect, on limited or no notice in Reconnect Event Staff’s sole discretion. In the event of a cancellation or postponement of Reconnect, Reconnect Event Staff shall not be responsible or liable for any costs, damages, fees, expenses, or other compensation associated with Reconnect, including travel and lodging expenses.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE SAFETY POLICIES
We STRONGLY encourage all Reconnect attendees to receive all vaccines recommended by the CDC prior to the event. Vaccination is the most effective method of preventing infection and infecting others. For more information about where to get vaccinated, visit: vaccines.gov
Prior to the event: if you begin experiencing symptoms of illness, or are exposed to someone who begins experiencing symptoms of illness, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE EVENT. Contact us at reconnect@khguides.com about cancelling your event badge.
VENUE POLICIES
- Your event badge is proof of your membership and must be worn at all times to guarantee admission to all events. Lost badges should be reported promptly to the registration desk. Please make sure your badge is on and visible at all times.
- Venue seating is first-come, first-served. Due to fire regulations, sitting in aisles and seating beyond the room's capacity are not allowed, and we are bound by law to strictly enforce this.
- Please be mindful that talking at volume during events and presentations is disruptive to other attendees; please be respectful of those actively listening.
- Please turn off sounds on your cell phone and any other noise-emitting devices.
- Laser pointers, water guns and projectiles are not allowed in convention space, any use of them in the venue space will result in loss of membership and removal from the event. All involved parties will be required to pay the cost of any property damages suffered by individuals or the venue.
- No animals other than service animals are allowed in the event venue.
- Please be considerate and ask first before taking pictures of guests, event staff, other attendees or the general public.
- Any photos and video taken by Reconnect event staff may be used for marketing or publicity purposes. Reconnect event badge holders consent to being recorded by audio/visual within the event venue.
- All food items served at the Welcome Dinner will be labeled with ingredients and allergens to the best of the catering staff’s abilities, and all reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that dishes are available without common allergens. However, the catering kitchen is not an allergen-free zone and cross-contamination is possible.
- Bar service will be available in the event venue during evening hours. Consumption of alcohol is allowed in the event space during these hours - please refrain from bringing outside alcoholic beverages into the event venue. Purchases of alcoholic beverages are strictly limited to attendees 21 and older - bartenders reserve the right to request photo ID and refuse service to anyone for any reason.
- Consumption of marijuana products is legal in Colorado and attendees may partake on their own time outside of the event venue. Smoking or vaping of any kind (marijuana, nicotine, or otherwise) is strictly prohibited inside the event venue (this includes the outdoor patio area). Please follow all laws related to marijuana purchase and possession. It is not legal to transport products containing THC across state lines.
- Attendees who are visibly inebriated and disruptive may be asked to remove themselves from the event venue temporarily until such time that their condition improves.
- Firearms are strictly prohibited inside the event venue. The State of Colorado allows the open carry of firearms for individuals with all necessary licensing, but the City of Denver does not allow open carry and only allows concealed carry with all necessary licensing. Please ensure that you have all appropriate licensing before carrying any concealed weapons in the City of Denver.
- Reconnect has a zero-tolerance policy for violence or sexual harassment. Any attendee who causes harm or threatens to cause harm to another attendee will be removed from the event without a refund. Law enforcement will be involved if necessary.
- The following items cannot be brought into the event venue: weapons, other than prop weapons; animals that are not service animals; illegal drugs; loose glitter or confetti; explosive or incendiary devices.
COSPLAY POLICIES
- You must be a registered Reconnect Celebration attendee in order to participate in the cosplay showcase and/or competition. Each member of your group must have an event badge.
- All costumes must cover "swimsuit areas" – no nudity. Body-paint costumes are not eligible for craftsmanship.
- Reconnect Events adheres to the "PG-13 rule" when it comes to language and hand gestures on stage. Violation of this rule may result in disqualification from the cosplay showcase.
- During the showcase, enter and exit the runway at the designated points only. Costumes must be handled by the contestant or by handler(s) the contestant brings to help. Handlers are required to be registered attendees of the Reconnect Celebration event, and Reconnect Events can not provide on-stage assistants.
- Contestants are not allowed to throw anything off the runway, nor use projectiles or use anything on the runway that will leave a mess. This includes (but is not limited to) liquids, glitter, and confetti. If you have a question about something you want to do, feel free to send an email to reconnect@khguides.com with “Cosplay Showcase Question” as the subject. All participants are encouraged to keep at least one foot on the stage at all times.
- No pyrotechnics, fire, explosive devices, live animals (except for service animals), or similar special effects can be used during the cosplay showcase and/or competition; this includes smoke/smog machines and flash paper/powder. Anyone who violates this rule may be disqualified from the competition and be asked to leave the convention area depending on the severity of the incursion. All prop weapons must conform to the Reconnect Events prop policies, including being checked.
- Each contestant may only enter one costume into the showcase/competition. You can have up to six people in a cosplay group.
- All cosplay showcase/competition participants must be in the room where the pre-meet will occur at a time determined by Reconnect Events staff. Reconnect Events staff reserves the right to turn away any showcase/competition entry it deems inappropriate or not in compliance with the rules.
- Reconnect Events is unable to provide lighting cues or effects services for cosplays.
- All costume weapons and props must conform to federal, state and local law. A weapon is considered anything that could accidentally or purposefully cause injury to another attendee. Keyblade props are allowed so long as they do not feature blade-sharp edges.
- All prop weapons must be cleared by Reconnect event staff if they are to be carried during the event.
- Please use common sense and be considerate of other attendees and event staff. Reconnect Events cannot be held liable for any damage incurred to your cosplay and you assume all risks, known or unknown, while engaging in cosplay activities. Weapon props must be cleared at the registration desk.
- Reconnect (including the cosplay showcase) are being held adjacent to a family-friendly public space. If your cosplay is deemed too revealing, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate, Reconnect Event Staff or venue staff may ask you to change or cover up.
- Please make sure your costume is well constructed and you have appropriate under garments on. Protective footwear is required at all times – this means your footwear must be hard sole and worn at all times for health and safety reasons.
- Symbols of hate are not welcome at Reconnect. Inappropriate signs, signs offering services, and signs making requests to be hugged or touched are strictly prohibited.

GIVEAWAY TERMS
- Reconnect celebration giveaway entries are available to Reconnect event badge holders. Giveaway entries are tied directly to Reconnect event badge numbers and cannot be transfered.
- Selected winners must be present at the time of the giveaway drawings to receive their prize. Winners will be reselected if not present for a drawing.
- Reconnect celebration giveaway prizes may not be redeemed for cash and will not be shipped at the expense of Reconnect Events.
