The Grand Ghost is a special Heartless introduced in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It shares similarities with the Search Ghost Heartless and drops the rare Frost Stone synthesis item.

Finding the Grand Ghost

The Grand Ghost Heartless is only found in the Stomach in Monstro. The Grand Ghost should be the only enemy that spawns in this area.

Defeating the Grand Ghost

Rather than striking the Grand Ghost with the Keyblade or magic, the only way to deal damage is to use items like Potions, Hi-Potions, and Elixirs. You must select the "Ghost" option in the menu when using an item - this requires you to be close to the Grand Ghost. Locking on to it will help you ensure that the "Ghost" option becomes available as you approach.

The Grand Ghost has 300 HP, and the type of item determines how much damage is dealt to it. You can also obtain items to use against the Grand Ghost by performing certain actions:

Obtaining the Frost Stone

The Grand Ghost will always drop a Frost Stone as long as its HP is depleted. For a chance to obtain more Frost Stones from a single Grand Ghost, use higher quality items on the Grand Ghost (see the table above).
