What is Reconnect ?Reconnect is a three-day in-person and online event celebrating the Kingdom Hearts series and its community of fans. The event is coordinated by KHGuides and a team of talented creators that aim to provide an inclusive experience for all fans of the Kingdom Hearts series to connect and have fun. Reconnect is a zero-profit event coordinated by dedicated fans and community members. All funds from merch purchases and donations to our sponsorship program are used directly to fund the event. When and where is Reconnect ?Early summer 2027 in the happiest place on earth: Anaheim, California. Stay tuned for exact dates! Day One is a casual Preconnect dinner gathering near Disneyland. Day Two is a full day of Disneyland Park. We will have a series of KH25-themed passive activities available that can be completed at your own pace as you move through the park. We’ll also have optional planned meetup moments throughout the day. You can participate in these as much or as little as you like. Day Three will feature the Million Dreams Red Carpet and Awards Show in the afternoon/evening. Will there still be a Million Dreams Awards ceremony?YES. While we’re letting go of the traditional event schedule in favor of a Disney Park day this year, we’re not letting go of the Million Dreams Awards. The MDAs will be presented in front of a live audience (and streamed online) on the final evening of Reconnect at a hotel ballroom close to Disneyland. Will there be a red carpet before the Million Dreams Awards ceremony?ALSO YES. Please prepare your finery. When will nominations open for the Million Dreams Awards?Nominations will open the day after March Caprice 7 concludes. All work completed/published between May 1st 2025 and April 30th, 2027 are eligible for nomination. Will there be any future Million Dreams Awards ceremonies? We don’t know yet. We’ll let you know when we do. Will there be event badges for sale?NO - You should only expect to pay a small fee to RSVP for Preconnect and the Million Dreams Awards when registration opens at a later date. To participate in the Disney Park day, you’ll need to purchase your own admission ticket to Disneyland. Park tickets are usually $200 per person per day for a single park. If you would like to purchase Park Hopper tickets that allow you to visit both Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park in one day, those tickets are usually $290. Our KH25 activities and planned group meetups will all take place in Disneyland Park. If you would like to visit California Adventure Park as well, you’re absolutely welcome to purchase Park Hopper passes, but it’s not necessary for the KH25 event. If you do decide to visit both parks, we recommend starting early in California Adventure Park and hopping to Disneyland Park for the remainder of the day, so we can end the day together. This info is based on current posted prices and may change. Tickets are available for purchase up to eight months in advance. There will be a small registration fee to RSVP for Preconnect and the Million Dreams Awards when registration opens at a later date. Can I cosplay?Disneyland does not allow entry to guests 14 or older in full costume/cosplay. You may wear themed clothing items, or outfits *inspired* by your favorite characters. Please read the full Disney Parks dress code here. For the Million Dreams Awards, we recommend wearing “red carpet attire”, but you may cosplay if you prefer. What airport do I fly to? How do I travel in California? We will have specific advice about this available when we announce our event dates. Stay tuned! I can't attend in person. How can I participate? We'll be livestreaming the Million Dreams Awards on the final day of Reconnect. We also strongly recommend you mark your calendars for March Caprice 7 in March 2027 - it’s an entirely online Kingdom Hearts celebration! I have a question that isn’t listed here. Who can I contact?Shoot us an email at reconnect@khguides.com and we’ll endeavor to get back to you as soon as possible. |
Why is Reconnect ?The Kingdom Hearts community has a strong and positive presence online, and while we're so grateful for the connections we're able to make through social media, we think it's important to create an opportunity for Kingdom Hearts fans to connect with each other in person and celebrate a series that values friendship and unbreakable connections, meet up with old friends, and make new ones! "Distant hearts, when rejoined as one... may find the light within." What's different this year for Reconnect ?In previous years, Reconnect has featured a self-contained event schedule of Kingdom Hearts themed events and activities designed and produced by the Reconnect team and community contributors. These events have been so fun to produce and we’ve been amazed again and again by how creative and talented our community members are. The most common feedback we’ve received from previous Reconnect attendees is that while they enjoy the Kingdom Hearts themed events and activities, the part of the Reconnect experience they cherish the most is spending uninterrupted, in-person time with their friends. So for Reconnect as a part of KH25, that’s what we’re focusing on. We’re still going to have self-lead Kingdom Hearts themed activities as you enjoy your Disney Day, but the main focus is going to be quality time with your friends at your own pace. What is KH25?KH25 is a collaboration between the Reconnect and March Caprice event teams to celebrate 25 years of Kingdom Hearts! Our teams will be working together to make the final March Caprice and Reconnect celebrations in 2027 the best yet. I have an event idea that I wanted to pitch for Reconnect! What should I do?!Easy: you submit it for March Caprice 7! Sign-ups open in November 2026. Is this the final Reconnect?Yes. Both the March Caprice and Reconnect event series were born of a wish to light the darkness for the Kingdom Hearts community during a time when the Kingdom Hearts series (and life in the world) felt adrift. Both the March Caprice team and the Reconnect team have put their hearts and souls (and blood and sweat and tears) into these events for several years now, and we hope that we’ve made a small but meaningful difference on the landscape. Kingdom Hearts 4 is on the horizon, and the tide is turning towards the future of this series. We can’t wait to see what new and up-and-coming fans are going to create in the years to come. We’re going to be cheering you on! How is Reconnect being paid for?By donation. We don’t have event badges because the majority of the expense is covered with the purchase of your Disneyland ticket. However, we do still have a lot of costs associated with producing the Million Dreams Awards. If you’d like to help us make the MDAs the best they can be, please visit our Tiltify. Do I have to attend all the days of Reconnect ?No. You are welcome to come to just Preconnect, just the Disney Day, or just the Million Dreams Awards, or two of the three. Will there be hotel room blocks? No - you’re welcome to stay at any hotel or vacation rental of your choice. We will have information about the hotel where the Million Dreams Awards will take place available soon. Will there be Reconnect merch?Yes! Reconnect KH25 tshirts and merch will be available for purchase prior to the event. It’s an easy way to help fund Reconnect, and also recognize your fellow attendees in Disneyland! Can children attend?Of course - it’s Disneyland! Kids are welcome at all parts of Reconnect KH25, but please bear in mind that all children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at all times. I’m from outside the U.S. - what can you tell me about traveling there? At this time, we cannot recommend travel to the U.S. by non-citizens unless you already visit regularly and are comfortable with the process. We wish it were different, but we want you to be safe. These are forces beyond our control. If something changes drastically between now and Reconnect, we’ll update our advice here. No matter what happens, we want our global community members to know that we love you. |
