Throughout Sora's journey, the party will learn unique abilities that can be equipped for use in battle. Some abilities are learned through leveling up, while others are taught to your party through storyline events or sidequests.

In order to use an ability, you must have enough AP (ability points) to equip it. AP is increased through leveling up, equipping Accessories, and by using AP Up items found in chests or through Item Synthesis.

The abilities Sora learns when he levels up depends on the Dream Weapon selected during the Sora's Awakening sequence at the beginning of the game.

Trinity Limit 5 Channel the party's remaining MP to crush surrounding foes. [With companions nearby. Cost: All MP] Complete the Hades Cup.

Shared Abilities

Shared abilities are equipped to the entire party and enhance the movement capabilities of all party members.

Mermaid Kick - Swim faster and more powerfully. In Atlantica, press the circle button repeatedly to accelerate. Defeat Ursula.
Glide - While in the air, press the circle button to ride the air currents. Hold down the circle button to remain aloft. Seal the Keyhole in Neverland.
Superglide - While in the air, press the square button to fly at high speed. Hold down the square button to remain aloft. Defeat Chernabog.
